About Agrita Dandriyal
Agrita is driven by her deep passion for the natural world and her education and career explores how various sociopolitical and ecological issues intersect and complexify. During her Environment, Politics and Society MSc, her research used the care-informed framework of the gift economy to explore the relationship networks that sustain environmental volunteering in London, in which themes of reciprocity, collective agency, moral responsibility, and building a legacy of environmental caregiving emerged as core pillars of the volunteering ecosystem.
During her studies, Agrita put her knowledge and understanding to practice in the charity sector, gaining experience in sustainable development; policy and advocacy; and gender equality in sustainable tourism. Her work in youth-led initiatives with charities is what sparked her interest in Synchronicity Earth’s work with youth activists and organisations, and part of her Programme Officer role is supporting the development of the Chrysalis Youth Fund.
Outside the office, Agrita enjoys hiking, wildlife photography, performing Kathak compositions at cultural events with her dance group, and running her own podcast centring healing modalities and reimagining the self and community in a changing world.
